Christmas is around the corner. It seems everyone is ready for the happy day. When walking on the street, shops and department stores have prepared everything including Christmas trees, many activities and discounts for buyers. In fact, I wanted to share how I expected the coming Christmas at first, but I kept thinking about the tragedy happened in the Newtown, Connecticut recently.
A 20-year-old gunman, Adam Lanza, shot 28 people including his mom and children who were not older than 7. After shooting, he committed suicide. I did not know how the families who lost their children came over the hard challenge.
CNN reports, " he was a shy kid, quiet, " said Alan Diaz who knew Lanza several years ago. " He would sometimes stand in the corner. We knew he was socially awkward and we just accepted it. But he was never threatening."( http://edition.cnn.com/2012/12/16/justice/connecticut-shooting-suspect-profile/index.html) The tragedy made me want to know why he did it. I heard that his mom was strict to him. Is it the reason? I want to know what we can do to stop the things from happening again.
Last, I hope all the families can come over it even though it has to take long time.

Dear Kathy,
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of you to care about those families who lost their children in the incident. It should be a happy Christmas previously, but I can’t imagine what their feelings are now. The parents must be extremely sad. When I saw the news and heard their sob, I was so shocked and afraid that I also cried. I really want to know what affected the murderer and caused this tragedy, just like you. We should find out the fact and deal with it completely, or the world will get more and more horrible. I’m happy to know others have the same feeling. As long as we focus on certain issues positively, the problems just have the possibility to be solved.
By the way, I want to tell you that I like your paintings very much. The painting is quite cute this time, and it express the atmosphere in Christmas briefly and directly. Merry Christmas!
